SUTRO
BATHHOUSE

What is Sutro Sauna + Bathhouse

Sutro is a communal sauna and cold plunge bathhouse with plans to open in Atlanta/Decatur. It's built to be the place your week is missing, somewhere you come back to every week, not just once.

WHY THE NAME?

In 1896, the Sutro Baths opened in San Francisco, once the largest public bathhouse in the world. An entire city could soak, swim, and gather there under one glass roof. It burned down in 1966, and nothing quite replaced it. We took the name because that's the standard we're chasing: not a spa appointment, a shared civic ritual.

OUR MISSION

Most people's calendars have a gym slot and a happy hour. What's missing is somewhere with no agenda, where the same people show up and actually talk. Sutro is that room. Community comes first here. The wellness benefits are real and they hold up under research, but they're not why people keep coming back. The regulars are.

WHAT WE’RE BUILDING

Sutro will bring sauna, steam, and cold plunge together in one communal room, with heated seating and a lounge for the part that actually matters: the sitting around after. Tea, coffee, and wellness goods to take home. Private rooms for groups who want the space to themselves. The goal is a standing plan, not a special occasion, the kind of place where people start recognizing you by week three.
